Dr. Mendonsa gives examples of civilizations that have collapsed and the reasons why they did. He looks at two tribal societies - one that failed and the other that has survived. Theories are explored as to why collapse has occurred in every great civilization, why tribal societies can fail and why some survive. Cultural causation is featured, in addition to environmental, political and social factors.
