The founder of Bioenergetic Analysis is Alexander Lowen, a student of Wilhelm Reich, who had decisive influence on most body psychotherapeutic methods applied today. 'Bioenergetic Analysis. The Clinical Journal of the IIBA', published annually by the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis (IIBA) in English and Portuguese, is an international platform. Its purpose is to further theoretical concepts and to make links to and enhance communication with other schools of therapy and proponents of academic psychology, medicine and psychosomatics. The journal also publishes reports on empirical research and single case studies. 'Bioenergetic Analysis' has been published since 1985 and is the oldest journal for Bioenergetic Analysis. The present issue includes 7 original articles by D. Finlay, H. Resneck-Sannes, P.M. Helfaer, C.D. Ventling, J. Clauer, R. Lewis and S. Baum.

David J, Finlay is an International Trainer and has coordinated training programs in Europe, New Zealand and the United States. He has been a member of the IIBA Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees. Among his publications are Enemies in Politics and International Relations on the Planet Earth.
