This book is mix-media publication of image and text in dialogue. It wants to unravel the beauty and politics of contemporary city space, mainly in the Americas. It narrates by creating a dialogue between photography, poetry, and street art. The book is designed as a little pocket gallery that you carry with you to be read, enjoyed and shared en route and in the public spaces of our cities.

Photographer: Wilfried Raussert is photographer with a record of photo exhibits in Germany, Mexico, the USA, China, and Portugal. His first book as photographer Art Begins in Streets Art Lives in Streets (2017) was published in Germany with the support of the Federal Ministry of Research and Education. He is also scholar, author, and editor of around twenty scholarly books. He is chair of North American and Inter-American Studies at Bielefeld University, Germany.
