Beschreibung
Christian Schad (1894-1982) was one of the protagonists of the New Objectivity movement. His realistic portraits of the 1920s to 1940s are world famous and highly influential to this day. The 2nd volume of the Schad catalogue of works presents his photographic oeuvre. Most images are shown for the first time: portraits, landscape and city photography, abstract motifs. Informative essays explain, inter alia, Schad's artistic approach towards photography.
