What ideas do students have about economics? How do they assess their current economics education, what are their wishes and fears? This study focuses on the teaching of economics in upper secondary schools in Saxony. In interviews, students' ideas and perceptions of the economic system are explored in order to incorporate their realities and requirements into the conception of a curriculum for economic education. As a result, didactic implications will be derived, whose economic didactic specifications will be implemented in a general didactic framework model.
