The Court Church of the Würzburg Residence is one of the highlights of European architecture thanks to Balthasar Neumann's ingenious architecture and the imagination and quality of its furnishings. In the interplay of architecture, painting, sculpture and ornamentation, it is a work of art from a single mould, in which neither the lengthy planning history with its many changes nor the constraints of the chosen building site are noticeable.
