Univ. Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga MD. PhD., 10th Dan, Soke Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga, 10th Dan, Soke, was born in Belgrade in the former Yugoslavia on the 15th November 1940. He founded the Fudokan style in 1980. He is a doctor of medicine and taught as a professor at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. He took up Karate in 1959 and was a student of Vladimir Jorga, Tetsuji Murakami, Taiji Kase and Hidetaka Nishiyama. Fudokan means House on a stable foundation. The style was established in 1980 by Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga, 10th Dan, Soke, one of the great Karate Masters of our time. Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga is still today engaged in teaching and training in Europe and throughout the world.
