Current Issues in Kurdish Linguistics II contains seven papers dealing with different aspects and varieties of Kurdish, such as the dialectology of Kurmanji spoken in Syria, the grouping of Southern Kurdish, and morpho-syntactic issues in Central Kurdish dialects (e.g. Sorani and Ardalani). Other papers deal with the semantics of count/mass distinctions and linguistic and cultural contact between Arabic, Neo-Aramaic and Kurdish varieties. The wide range of the contributions reflects current developments in the field and continues the tradition of the volume Current Issues in Kurdish Linguistics, published in 2019.
